FLEMISH SCHOOL (17th century) "King Thoas of Tauris orders Iphigenia to sacrifice Orestes and Pylades"

Tapestry woven in wool.
Belonging to the series of five tapestries with The Story of Iphigenia and Orestes by Pieter de Cracht with designs attributed to Salomon de Bray. c.1648-1662.
It has a border decorated with tenant figures, puttis, birds and fruits. Folded (reduced in height). Requires restoration and cleaning.
