Cloisonnè enamel vase, goldsmith Pavel Akimov Ovchinnikov,

Made of silver and decorated with various colors of cloisonne enamel following the traditional Russian techniques and decorations that Ovchinnikov introduced to Russia at the Late of the 19th century. Ovchinnikov was a leading goldsmith in Russia at the Late of the 19th century. He enjoyed great success obtaining the seal of the imperial guarantee in 1868, just fifteen years after opening his first store in Moscow. In 1889 he won a gold medal at the Paris World's Fair and was a supplier to the court of Tsar Alexander III and other European courts such as the Italian court of Vittorio Emanuele II and the Danish court of Christian IX. Marks on the base of law 84 zolotnik, imperial guarantee seal and goldsmith's mark. Weight: 415 gr Measurements: 20 cm
