"Flamenco dance", a pair of Andalusian figures, 19th centur

Polychrome clay. They have some flaws and restorations. Clay production was particularly popular in Malaga and Granada during the 19th century, driven by Romanticism. The most represented figures were popular Andalusian types such as bandits, gypsies, bullfighters... Jose Cubero Gabardon was one of the best known and most prolific artisans of Malaga production.
