Agni Statue, Ivory Coast, c. 1960
Originally from Ghana, the Agni left the Ashanti area to settle in Ivory Coast. Known for their love of gold, the Agni people are also known for their Comian fetish. A matriarchal secret society whose power is considerable. Communication with the gods, medical science and the art of divination are reserved for this secret society.
